Project Brief: Intranet Portal- Collaboration Web Presence
Client: Borgata Casino and Spa

CyBOOK’s design team, consulting with the Borgata team, developed a look and feel for the prototype Web site that was centered around its branding and its function as a portal site. This look and feel was targeted to far surpass the current company intranet usage in discoverability and functionality.

CyBOOK developed three motifs, each of which represented a unified look and information architecture for the completed site.  After the Borgata team reviewed and selected Motif #3., development of the site began.

Design is the first step toward realizing a web presence. After initial concepting based on the scope and nature of the project, LOOK and FEEL alternatives are explored. This includes mapping out the entire site in terms of overall design and navigation.

Usually, a number of general site motifs are proposed for the client to choose from. A motif consists of the Home Page graphic and overall stylistic theme that will be carried throughout the site including navigational icons or toolbars.

Concurrently, a site map is developed to establish the information elements and architecture of the web site.
